This morning i was again worken up at 4am to the sound of the boats heading off to the floating market, this probably set my mood for the day, alongside a 5 hour car ride back to Ho Chi Minh City, lucky we didn't catch the bus or it would have taken even longer. This morning was spent snoozing, actually the whole of today was a pretty lazy day, just writing in my travel journal and dozing in front of my fan. We had spent the last two days in minimal huts made out of water coconut tree leaves, each with a little bathroom, two beds and a fan. They were dear little huts, but after little sleep due to the heat and the boats, coming back to our airconditioned hotel was a luxury not to be taken for granted!
Unfortunatly just before we left Can Tho, my little sister's sore tummy caught up to her and the car journey back to Ho Chi Minh was filled with sounds of...mmm yeah lets not go into detail, this is when i put my ear phones in and turned the volume up -great big sister i am!
After we arrived in Ho Chi Minh again, my brothers and i decided to go for a walk to find some lunch, we found a great Vietnamese, Malaysian and Indian restaurant where we had noodles, rice and curry galore! Then we wandered through the streets buying gifts and watching artists create their artworks, and before we knew it we had been away for three hours and mum, back at the hotel was beginning to worry. It didn't help the situation that my phone was on silent so i didn't answer any of her phone calls...oops! But we made it back safe and sound and now we're just hanging out and keeping cool before we venture out into the night to find something for dinner!
