Today was spent travelling, firstly from Ho Chi Minh City to Bangkok and then I had a 3 hour stopover there before flying to Chiang Mai in the North of Thailand in the mountains where I begin my placement. There was a mini bus there picking up the people from the airport and driving them to our house. Here we met the other 60 people staying at our house and got our placement briefing; which hospital, which bus to get there, meal times, activities, things to do ...

This morning we hung out by our bungalows before catching a taxi to a waterfall and then to Phu Quoc Airport. Our taxi driver thought he was 'hot stuff' playing remixes of Rhianna songs that came out years and years ago, I thought otherwise…and his driving…we there was a bit of tooting of the horn and going super fast dodging traffic on the other side of the road, and just missing a lot truck by millimeters! I spent a few hours this morning wandering around Ho Chi Minh City for the last time before we packed our belongings into a taxi and headed for the airport...not quite as early as we should have!
