Hi ~ well, we are back in Arizona, homeward-bound. We left the windy beach on Mustang Island and drove through more flat country with lots of little towns offering accommodation for oil-field workers. Overnighted at Uvalde then got into some really pretty hilly country ~ lots of tall, rocky formations. It was good to get into some different scenery after months in flat lands. Hi all ~ here we are in a county park in the desert just outside Tucson, Arizona. It is a nice desert here ~ lots of different cacti (like saguro, the one that looks like a man with arms, cholla, that is nasty and throws off spiny pieces, ocotilla that grows many vertical arms and lots more that we don't know) and has shrubs and low trees.
