Emma- The Globetrotting Girlie- Australia
Kia Ora (Hi or hello in Mauri)
We have been in NZ for about 5 hours now and as I write this I am sitting in an almost full Internet cafe in the heart of Auckland.
The flight was 3 hours from Nadi and was very short compared to our 11 and 13 hour flights that we have been so used to! We really are seasoned travellers now!
As many of our flights are with Singapore Airlines, we are trying to get membership to their Frequent Flyers Club, so we can get more perks and discounts on the flights we take with them.
NZ is very simialr to England in a way. Its very clean and at the moment they are coming into Summer which is good for us because the weather remains warm, but with a still breeze. In Fiji the weather was very close and humid, so we greatly welcome this change!
We met two guys in Globe, a club not far from where we are staying. They have taken us to some of the sites around Auckland. This place is ace but the only thing to see there is the city and its amazing Sky Tower!
We stayed here longer than we really needed due to a few alterations in our itinerary! We went to a bar one night and didnt realise it was salsa night! I got on the dancefloor to attempt the salsa dance and before I knew it this dark guy just whisked me off my feet! Works out that he has lived over here for 5 years and is a salsa coach!!
I tell you, that is one of the things I want to take up when I come home! Its great! I just got the hang of all the steps and the turns, when we had to leave, what a complete bummer!
Well that was a fun packed 2 weeks. We then went on to smelly Rotorua!
