JAMBO!! (hello) everyone,

Quick one before we update with some videos and photos. Thanks to all that e-mailed asking if we're OK - wer'e fine!

We finally dragged ourselves away from London's cosy atmosphere and faced our first "test" at Heathrow airport when they told us we need return flights... we said we're driving, they said "oh" we waited, they checked they said "no" then we asked them to check again - they said "OK, you crazy kids, get on that flight and go home to Africa" - so we did just that.

Have been in raining Nairobi (most rain of the whole tour including monsoon in India and SEA!?!) looking for a car, test driving cars, checking cars. After one week, 10 dealership visits, 20 cars, 4 test drives we have found a Mitsubishi Pajero (4x4). It's custard yellow, has a roof rack and is built like a "baksteen kakhuis" i.e. strong.

We will be doing paperwork to get us legal and then start driving and seeing some wildlife.

Nairobi is one of the nicest cities we have been to so far - good food (boerewors and Mrs. Balls chutney!), good people and awesome travellers going on their way through Africa.
