3 stops later we arrive at Marienplatz.
Everyone gets off here so we follow them all to the exit, this takes us up the escalators and past a poster for the Aerosmiith Arrivederci Tour. Could be a good reason to return to Munich to see the boys!!
At the top of the escalators was a shopping centre, we followed the signs to the market and up another escalator straight out to the front of the Neues Rathaus or as we say, New Town Hall, we say New but it is actuall 143 years old but is probably a lot newer than the Altes Rathaus Old Town Hall which is 722 years old and is next door. This first view of the Rathaus for me was quite impressive with it's tall steeple and huge Chirstmas tree.
