Hello Uncle Ed and Auntie Ruth, Mummy has shown us the new country you are now in, it sounds abit miserable because you are living in a van, but also fun because you are playing eye spy. We are all ok, Max keeps saying lots of new words which is funny and I am trying to teach him to tell jokes (I'm nearly as funny as Grandad!) We might be going up to your house at half term, as I really need a break - school is exhausting! We miss you lots and lots. Ben XXX

really enjoyed your postcards. Spent a few happy minutes remembering when I was in Vietman and NZ. Its raining here and cold and miserable but it is Shipley! Know where I'd rather be. Are you going to Kaikura? We had a fantastic time swimming with seals and seeing whales and the most amazing dusky dolphins,. Dont bother taking photos of the dolphins though, we took loads of photos of the sea!
Enjoy a lovely cold galss of sauvignon blanc for me.

This web site is fantastic ! Oh the wonders of modern technology. Years ago you would have disappeared to places unknown for months, and we would have had to wait to see you to find out what you did. I love it. Granma is coming over in the week, so will show it to her, she will be so fussy, she is always wondering about you both. You are obviously having the time of your life. Keep enjoying, look after yourselves. Your Mum and Twins and me had a great girly (well, middle aged womeny) weekend in Harrogate, will do it again. All ok here, weather about the same as yours ! Had Summer last week, now back to winter clothes again. Yes, N Z is a bit backward, but it is refreshing, except when you need theis technology I suppose.
All the best to you, keep in touch

Hello again you two. Sorry to hear that the New Zealand weather is not too good at present but good to see that you are finding plenty of things to do to keep you amused!!! We have just seen the Tigers win the play-off semi-final so they will be at Twickers on 27th for the final. Also, Ed, you missed one of the best cup finals ever yesterday as West Ham lost to Liverpool on penalties. Ben continues to impress as a goal-keeper I am told so look out for his name on the City team sheet in 12 years or so! Are you managing to keep abreast of things here via newspapers or T.V.? We are going up to Leeds on Tuesday evening for a couple of nights so no doubt it will mean more rain here for mid-week. Next week we are off for our walking holiday in Herefordshire with Dave & Sylvia for 3 days so it's all go - maybe after that I will do a few days work before the next break. I think that's about all for now so will sign off and as usual send our love to you both .Look forward to hearing from you again very soon. Mum and Dad xxxxxxxxx

alrighty ed !
look like ur having fun : ) more than us anyway. hope you're both well.
it was prom on friday u were missed! melophobia (my band) played and falling law (tom stablers) did too, it was alright probably the worst we've ever sounded but everybody was in a really good mood so they thought it was fantastic haha. claire ogden got prom queen and kier whitely prom king, blair got best dressed because of his kilt (man skirt !!!). i think most people had a good night we went in a 1963 vw camper van it was really cool ^_^ but i guess we all have to focus now on the exams, im finding it a bit hard for obvious reasons but ive done french speaking and got atleast a c in it ive got half of my biology mark and got a b so i supose thats ok.
sorry i havnt messaged sooner i tried emailing you but it didnt work anyways i best be off keep on having fun but a bit less of the strip poker comments in post cards is probably a gd thing! (too much info!!!). cant wait to see more pics of new zealand wish i was there even tho the weather doesnt seem to be any better.
see you in a couple of months Popi xxx

Hey, guys!! Very impressed with the message board, take it you had little to do with uploading the pictures Ruth, or is that a little unfair?! Pastries in Vietnam! If any one was going to find them Mrs Bowman, it would be you (P.S. I like your hair curley). I am a GP in the making as of this week, am a bit hugged out after the application process, but all very exciting, and I know we're not meant to talk to eachother on these message board things, but I was rather swayed by the 250,000 a year too Zoe!! Any way, hotting up for summer here at the mo, my flipflops are starting to smell a bit like yours already Ed, we'll have a competition when you return! Yes it's fat white bellies out and bbq's at the ready round at ours (and that's just Letty!).
By the way, there's something strange going on at the minute in the U.K., will tell you more details as they come through, but I think we've been invaded by foreign war mungers, as there seems to be a strong wave of nationalism sweeping our Isle in defiance currently. It's gone mad! People are flying England flags from their bedroom windows and outside their public houses, I've even seen some stuck on cars! Though I've noticed it only tends to be the cheap makes. Still there's nowt like a conflict to unite a downtrodden nation. We watch history unfold in your absence! Am building the bomb shelter and getting some canned beans in this weekend. Also starting to feel quite patriotic myself. If I hear any more details I'll let you know. Oh and on a lighter note, I've got six months off work starting August, before VTS, so if you're still on your travels, still speaking to eachother after the camper van (and I survive the war) I'd love to hook up, might even do the flip flop challenge a bit early! Will be in touch now I know where to find you. Hope you love NZ!! God Save Our Queen! Love Alex x

Robbo I was thinking the same...do you think they've been kidnapped. Ed will be so chuffed when we're all neighbours - theres something to look forward to coming home to!! xx

Hello you two! Thanks very for the birthday card, the cash must have fallen out or maybe you are bringing me back one of those hand made shirts so I can spill raspberry cocktail all over it!! Anyway I am now 30 years of age and must act responsibly even though I didn't on my birthday. It was really good hearing from Ed and he will be encouraged to know that after going out at half past two in the afternoon I didn't return until three the next morning! I have booked flights to see the second round game of the World Cup in Harborough at the end of June so I've no doubt Pete will not stand me up this time although he did mention something about washing his hair! It is great to hear from everyone on the boards although I am suspicious of the amount of people you seem to know. I reckon there is a ghost user somewhere who is making up all these names and kidding on that they are all missing you so much and love you so much and can't wait for you to return, blah, blah, blah. I just have to get on with it, hoping that one distant day far off into the future our paths may once again cross and we will be together again........so we can get wrecked!! Looking forward to your next update and hope that Ruth has done the decent thing and replaced those flip flops. First test against Sri Lanka starts on Thursday so I'll keep you updated with any amusing crowd moments i.e. like when we watched that baffoon try to catch the ball and it went through his hand and smacked him right on the nose, UNLUCKY!! Take care good friends
P.S. Tiday has been drafted into Sven's squad as a replacement for Rooney!!

Hey Eddie and Ruby.. Looks like you're have a fab time. It's making me very excited for our trip in the summer. I can't believe you've been gone a month already. Doesn't time fly when you're not having fun at work! Have been try to acclimatise myself for the roughing it in the summer so went camping to Malham cove last weekend in the pouring rain and gale force winds.... you can only imagine what a mouthful Mike got about that. Lived to tell the tal though and was in London this weekend with Nic and Marie. I think I'm going to be hungover for the rest of the week after that. we missed you though Ruby and had a few cocktails on you!! Anyway, happy camping in NZ and will write soon. Lots of lovexxxxx COME ON BORO (hope you'll be watching the UEFA cup final on Wed Ed)
