We were scheduled for a 6 hour lay over in Heathrow, not quite quite long enough to go into town, then we got a big tail wind, arrived an hour early, now we were faced with 7+ hours in the terminal. the one time wedidnt need to be early, here we are way early. So we made a break for it: 3 stops on the Tube to Hounslow Central. A bustling London neighborhood, known for the best Indian food anywhere. It now has Italian coffee shops, a street market with Thai, Jamaican, Indian and German food. As tempting as all this was we went to Greggs, a staple of every English high street, hot pies and our target Cornish Pasties. Followed by Cadbury chocolates and Vimto: Perfect!
We're back in the confines of LHR, waiting for the Prague flight. Very excited to be going to Prague, have been thinking, talking, trying to go for almost 20 years.
After our freebie afternoon in London the trip really begins.....
