After being dropped at the airport in Burundi at 730am to begin our journey to Mozambique, we heard that the flight had been cancelled and then unfolded a very frustrating 36 hours. The cancellation was a result of the fire at Nairobi airport a couple of weeks before, and we were put on another flight 3 hours later. We loved our time in Burundi and are finally back to write about it... sorry for the lack of blog entries! Burundi is a lovely, beautiful country with many hills and we are told is even more beautiful and green in the rainy season. As a high percentage of the population are farmers when you drive through the country much of what you see is cultivated and even in the dry season the valleys are cultivated for an additional harvest. Leaving Kenya today, waking up at 5:30am, saying goodbye to Calvin Eaton (whom we have spent everyday with for the last 10days).
