Milan was rainy and cold for most of the weekend, bu the sun finally came out on Sunday morning. Our hotel was directly next to Centrale Train station and the metro line which came in handy in the rain.
We started exploring the city from the second that we stepped off our train on Friday afternoon. We were able to get a lot of stuff into a few days including the Duomo, the Galleria, Castello Sforzesco, Archo Del Pace, Pinacoteca di Brera and a market.
Saturday night Samantha fell in a pot hole and sprained her ankle...the doctor did not believe her when she said she had not been drinking when she fell. She was telling the truth because she fell right as we left the hotel to go out for the night. She stuck it out and made it home on Sunday night. Unfortunately she has to lay low for the next couple of weeks.
The architecture in Milan is gorgeous and the city has a vibrant vibe. t was hard not knowing a lick of Italian, but I think that the three of us did all right!!
