-Dawn- Today we spent seeing the Tower of London, which is not "a" tower really but 20 towers. It's basically a big palace where they kept important people prisoner and even tortured some of them. We got to have a very energetic andentertaining yeoman warder lead us around the grouns and tell us the history of the different prisoners who lived there and the misdeeds that were said to have been accomplished. Then we went in and saw the crown jewels, very pretty! that pretty much took up our entire afternoon. We were schedualed to leave for weekend trip at 6:30, so we headed back to the hotel, got our bags, got on the ynderground and headed for the stop where we were supposed to meet the bus. Unfourtunately, the underground was very crowded and Elizabeth and I had to get on different cars. Yes, I know you are thinking right now that this spells disaster. Well, you would be correct. Turns out Elizabeth didn't know which stop to get off at. So I got off the train and no Elizabeth. the long and the short of it is that Elizabeth was lost on the underground for a good hour and the bus left without us exactly 5 minutes before she was finally found by the underground staff people. So, we don't get to go to the lake district anymore, but at least we're stuck in London. I mean it's not like we won't be able to find anything to keep us busy! -Dawn-
