That's right the one with the horse, and Helen, Achilles (the guy with the tendon in his leg) and Iliad. There are tacky second rate ruins here that have been poorly excavated. It was worth the 10lra for the dolmus there and back but I think they have a cheek charging 20lr to get in.
Im in Canakkale and they have an outdoor museum of old torpedoes and mines so I went to look at them as well. The water front is full of restaurants and has a very European feel which is strange cos I am back on the asia side. There are soo many people here I think I might move again tomorrow and get the bus to Pergamum. They say there are some spectacular ruins there so I might stay there for a couple of days to try to beat the price gouging here.
This arvo I cane back to my hotel for a nana nap and I heard a jet fly low and fast overhead. I thought that was odd? It happened again? I got up and went to look and the Turkish airforce were doing a show above here. It was pretty good to watch.
