Thanks for remembering Dans birthday. At first he thought maybe he was forgotten but it turned out that all his birthday greetings had been sent to my email address. Which was sensible as Dan doesn't very often access his hotmail account. He had a good birthday. I bought him a cake and it had candles and everything. I thought I might surprise him with it in the evening but he suggested going out for a chinese and we filled ourselves up and so the cake didn't come out and Danny didn't know anything about it. I thought we might have it the next night. But the following night we arrivied in this tiny town called Beechworth and they have the most fantastic bakery there. We had cakes each and they were very filling and throughout the day we kept picking at these cakes. They had tastings in the bakery and so by the end of the day Dan said he didn't want to see another cake for a while. So the cake didn't make an appearance that night either. I thought we might have it on the third night. But for whatever reason we didn't, I can't really remember but by this point I thought the cake might go off or something so we pulled over onto the side of the road and I secretly put a candle on the cake and sang Danny Happy Birthday (from 3 days ago) and he blew the candle out. It was all okay in the end. Darn cake. Its now sitting in a fridge in Canberra at our friends house and we've only eaten half of it. Tastes alright though.
