We arrived at 4am on the bus where we waited 2 hours for the first boat to Koh Tao. We docked at 9am and made our way to Hat Sai Ree, the main area on the island, to meet Chloe and Josie, 2 english girls who were on the trip. After a brief breakfast with Chloe we wondered down the beach to find some cheap accomodation. We managed to find a few matchbox sized, fan "cooled" shacks along the bay, and after an hour, Ricky had had enough and decided to rent a scooter for 3 pounds to go and explore further afield. After exploring a lot of the island We infact wound up finding the bargain of the trip, in the form of Ban's dive resort, we han an amazing view and a great room with AC. However we needed to downsize to a smaller room when one became available as this was slightly more than we wanted to pay, despite the incredible value.We went for dinner at the famed, and for good reason, Fernando's. The local British run Italian in Thailand. We then headed to bed after managing a only a broken 2 hour of sleep in almost 48 hours.
