After an amazing buffet breakfast at the Navalai we cheched out early and got a taxi to the Hotel where we would meet the group later that day. (we are starting the trip with a twenty night tour from Bangkok to Hanoi through Cambodia and Vietnam).
After getting our room for the night we headed out to explore the nearby China town, after being directed by an old Thai man from Chiang Mai there on business, seemingly just enjoying talking with us and practicing his English.
We stopped on the main street in China town to have Duck (like peking style) with rice, again, some of the best we'd ever had.
Billy was just ariving at the hotel, so we went back to meet him for a coke and a quick chat about everything so far.
After failing to find the Sam Yan market we managed to find a KFC, for a quick bite before returning to the hotel by the Bangkok underground metro train to meet the rest of the group.
We met in the lobby at 6.30pm with the rest of the group and the Tour Leader. There were four Norwegian girls and a Danish girl, all our age, three English girls our age, a Norwegian couple in their mid twenties, two Canadian women around 50, the three of us and then our tour guide Steve, who turned 32 on the trip but we thought was around 24, orignally from a small Canadian town but has spent the majority of the time since he was 18 travelling.
After the paper work was done we had a meal just off Khao San Road, and then just as we were going to go back home, the Brits in the group decided to go and check out the Patpong night market. A couple of 'enlightening' hours later, we arrived back at the hotel and went to bed.
