Year-long Retirement Odyssey
Today is our much anticipated return to touring the US. We're so thankful for the ways God has led, protected and provided for us during this hiatus in our travels. Sharon's friend from childhood, Lorraine Qualls and her family were nearby and blessed us in many ways: shared her church home for us in FL, cooked and shared many meals and outings, and just made us feel at home. She even kept Roxie for us so we could do an all day outing. She and her family helped David celebrate 67 years young. David had an excellent surgeon and physical therapist. His shoulder and arm are now pain-free, though he needs to strengthen them as we go forward.
We also felt God led us to a pleasant RV park to sojourn at in Port Richey, FL. The owners and staff are Christians and our neighbors were great. We were even able to attend Bible studies on Friday mornings at the park.
This afternoon we have set up camp for 2 days in Panacea, Florida, on the Panhandle Gulf shore. It's a very pleasant campsite, right on the waterfront. Our neighbors are very nice, and you can see Roxie felt quite at home with them, too. We'll do some more blogging, (still trying to catch up on all the missing days) and tomorrow we'll explore the area north of here including Tallahassee, Florida's capital.
More later.......
