Whew! isnt time travelling fast! Though it does seem a long time ago we were on our first night in Yelarbon freezing cold!!! Still a nice breeze here today in Batchelor where we are stuck at the moment already now for 3 hours. On departing the Caravan park outside of the National Park we heard some bumps and felt something under the car..... Bummer!
Yep it was the shocky - had gone out of line..... so we are just waiting for the mechanic to patch up so we can get to Katherine to get another. He doesnt have any here in Batchelor.
Oh well - catch up on photos, blogs and Jack doing some homework.
Anyway a recap.......
Getting up we headed off early into Darwin to ask a few questions about the ipod.... then onto our Duckabout tour in an old military style ' truck/boat' - kids thought it was cool.... had a look at the harbour etc and a bit of history on Darwin
Then looked for a picnic spot down near the Aquascene fish feeding. I would have to say this is the biggest ripoff! $ 33 entry and allowed 2 pieces of bread each to feed the fish! and so many people as you will see in the photos..... Anyway Liam like the idea they came up to him. Jack really wasnt too bothered.
Back to the van to start our tidy up for the next day as we depart Darwin.
So packed up ready to go and decided to go to the Darwin Museum. Was fabulous!
Really nice in there. Spent about 2 hours.... Liam loved all the animals ....and Jack and I liked looking at the Cycloe Tracy exhibit.
Then off to Litchfield National Park - where I will carry on with this bit = the battery is running low so i will end this blog now!!! and recharge !!!
Back soon.............
