Sth Korea/Japan
We bid goodbye to Seoul and 2 hours later landed in Osaka in the early evening. To pouring rain. Managed to navigate the train system and then a short taxi to ride through crowded streets delivered us to our ryokan. We only had 1 night so with umbrellas in hand, we ventured out with the thousands of others who were there to witness the spectacle of the Dotonbori district at night. A street lined both sides with all manner of food outlets bars, souvenir shops and numerous other offerings. Fried octopus balls for me, grilled chicken for Susi, sashimi for both of us, topped off with a skewer of candied grapes and strawberries. Bloody delicious. Back to our ryokan, where we crashed on our futons.

Rob Eddington Poor bloody octopus. Eight tentacles to tickle his balls and then you come along and have them deep fried I'd need gallons of Saki afterwards
