Bettina Hi Janne! First, I am so sorry for not replyin to you earlier. I didn't actually expect to get messeges here so I only chenk it every now and again (guess I'll have to check more often)! But to your questions, yes, the oppostunities in Finland for Marien Biology are non-existent, and I truly recommend studying abroad. I am here on a partial scholarship, which covers about two thirds of my tuition and I'm fortunate in the sence that my grandparents have offered to pay the rest of my tuition, so that I only have to pay for my own living expences. I basically worked my butt off for a year and a half in order to save up so that I wouldn't have to take any student loans during my first year here. I know that some schools have full ride scholarships, which are usually hard to get, but they exist, and also there are lots of sholarships when it comes to sports. All in all, I'd say, don't let the prices freak you out and stop you from applying. I mean, it doesn't hurt to try. And if there is still some time before you are to go to University, start saving up now. Otherwise, you can always take a year off to save up. I hope this helps. Janne Hi there! May I ask how you manage to pay your tuition fees? I've given studying abroad a thought, but have always found the price tags on universities to be quite daunting, especially considering that they're non-existent here in Finland. Becoming a marine biologist is my dream as well, but, as you probably know, Finland doesn't really offer any kind of education in that field. Best wishes and have a great time over there!
