hi, arrived in Pattaya yesterday, got a private taxi from the hotel to the bus station, was a really old Rover, from when Rover's were actually good (60's i think)..anyway was enjoyable. Bus trip took 2 hours and am staying in an apartment with tv, a/c and shower. It's a sunside resort with a Hard Rock Cafe restaurant and hotel, so you can imagine the rest. Spent a couple of hours of the hotel, feeling hot, must be low 30's celsius. Saw an advert on TV for Chang beer (they sponsor Everton FC)... according to the advert 3/4 of the team are thai...probably explains they they are sh*t this season. As I was walking along the beach prominade, 3 american christians stopped for a chat, and as i was bored, talked for about 20 minutes. They were trying to convert me so i wouldn't go to hell...scary some of the garbage they were coming up with. had dinner in the Queen Vic, it's like an oasis in this place, inside you would never know you weren't back home. Today, just been on the beach and chillin' out. Heading to Ayuthaya tomorrow (former capital of Thailand), which is about 1.5 hours bus journey north of Bangkok.
