My whole life people have always tried to teach me Spanish and yet I have been on ship for 4 months and I think I know more Japanese then Spanish haha. Working and living with Japanese I think has really made that old song a reality for me... "I think I'm turning Japanese I think im turning japanese I really think so!" we spend a lot of our ports in Japan as well so I hear it all the time. I must say Japan is very beautiful and sophisticated. They are all so polite and sweet. In a few weeks we are going back to having Japanese guest and I am so excited for it. But first we are on our way to Russia for two weeks without cruising. I hope we will have time to get off the ship and really see Russia but we will be there for some APEC meeting? So that means there will be a lot of security on board and that always means more rules for us :/ so I will just keep my fingers crossed that we get some freedom while we are there. The nice thing is that it takes two days to get to Russia and we won't have any guest! That is so unheard of when you work on a cruise ship so we are having an all crew pool party that everyone is so excited for! I'm sure I will have a ton a pictures to show for it :) There are so many things that I am excited about in the next few weeks but before all that I have to say goodbye to my dearest friend Lavinia. She is one of the nurses on board and has really looked after me since I got here. If it wasn't for her kindness I don't know how I would be surviving this far. We have become so close that after my contract I am planning on visiting her on her next ship. Lavina has been such a great part of my experience and it will so hard to not see her everyday for the next 149 days that I have. So this one is for my friend Lavina. Can't wait to see her again soon :) until we meet again...
