Positive thinking took a turn for the worse today.:( But I'm trying to put it back on track so bare with me lol... Let's see since the last time I wrote we have been to a few new places in Japan and Korea. The other day we were in Russia! It was kinda cold and I wasn't off work so i didn't get off the ship but in a few months we will be there for two weeks so i will be able to see it better then. It's crazy to think I have only been on the ship for six weeks it feels like a lifetime! I am finding ship life to be quite the challenge. Its bringing out personality traits that I didn't even know I had, some good and some bad. I feel like I am growing a lot as a person but still there are times that I wish a side of me didn't come out. Living and working with the same people everyday isn't something I would recommend to anyone but I'm doing my best to make it work. It's funny that everything that I have ever run away from in my life is staring me in the face here on board. The only difference now is that I can not run away or even swim away haha... This dilemma is forcing me to do something that I have always avoided which is to work out the problem when it is put in front of you. Of course Im not perfect at dealing yet but im getting there slowly. I finally realize how extremely bad it is to just sweep the dirt under the carpet and never really clean it up. I already know this adventure will help me grow as a person, because I have already noticed a difference just in the last six weeks. Another thing I have noticed being here is how bad people eat in America! My eating habits have changed so much and I just hope these habits sticks with me whenever I return to the US :) maybe ill come home a little less junk in my trunk ;) So anyway enough with the drama, let me tell you more about the ship. Most everyone that works on the ship are from China, India, Philipilino , and then little bits from everywhere else. I have made friends with so many people I want to tell you a bit about them. Let's see first there is the girls from the spa: Lucy from Ireland is very lovable, quite the charmer, and describes everything with the word FANTASTIC (with an Irish accent of course). Stephanie from England is a funny little spitfire and calls everyone 'Love', she also goes around saying 'DAH' all the time ?!? Not really sure what it means but it makes us all laugh. Beth from South Africa is a social butterfly, she is friends with everyone and literally calls everyone 'my friend'... The only time she doesn't call someone my friend is when they are old and then she calls them 'granny' or 'uncle' lol gotta love the girl. Kumiko from Japan is a secret party girl, always down to business in the spa but whenever we go out she really cuts loose. Roniqe from south Africa always says 'my word' haha it makes me smile. Maria from Japan makes me laugh everytime she says my name... She always calls me Dorothy but if he was writing it there would be a question mark at the end of it haha. So everytime she calls me I think she has a question lol too cute. Chika from Japan is the sweetest thing and loves to Zumba with me. Yoshiko from Japan was actually my roommate in training so we go way back haha. I like to call her yoshie like the little green character from Mario brothers. Loren from Australia is the only boy with us and we like to call him peacock because he walks abound like he is flaunting some feathers lol. So there u have the spa team that I work with all day everyday. I will make sure to write more about everyone else on the ship in every entry from now on. Until then I am off to visit some more is asia. Missing you all so much! Tata
