4 of us got up early the next morning to see the Citadel! It was so hot!! So hard to be enthusiastic about sightseeing when you are tired and hot. Also, I know it's awful but i think you get to a point where all the museums and palaces and temples jut start to look the same! Had good craic taking pictures of Zak all over the place though, because he was getting a bit neglected! We got a taxi back to the hotel afterwards then went to do our own thing for lunch. I ended up running into Holly and had a steak sandwich with chips for lunch...it was actually epic haha! Then we wandered around getting good for the journey ahead - we left at 2 in the afternoon for the station to get our night train to Hanoi!

This train was nice, even nicer than the first one! Got free noodles so I gave in and had my first pot noodle - it wasn't that bad! We had an earlyish night (after a minor cockroach incident) because we had to get off the train at 4am to get a bus to Ha Long Bay.
