BELGIUM - DAY 1

Day of traveling today. We travelled from the United Kingdom by Eurostar to Brussels. Due to the time difference we arrived late afternoon. We climbed the 55 steps up the winding staircase lugging five suitcases to the two bedroom apartment that will be our home for the next three nights.

After settling in we headed out to find a supermarket to purchase some food to live on while we are here. The place we are staying is great. We have a laundromat across the road, a supermarket just down the road and restaurants all along the road. I am sitting here typing this blog at 9 o'clock at night, and the sun is still shining, the traffic is still full on and people are wandering along the street constantly. We can't get over the parking over here. People just park where ever there is space with no right or wrong way. Vans pull up on the corners and get out and leave their van there, and just up the road people are double parking. Everyone seems to just accept it and go around the obstacles.
