25th. Feb
Left Paraty at 6am, breakfast enroute. Lunch at Sao Paulo. Drove for 12 hours and camped in fuel stop. Highway police made us move into the middle of the petrol station. Woken up by a rooster at 5am.
26th Feb
On the road again for another travel day. Arrived in Foz at 10pm. Upgraded to a hostel room.
27th Feb
Up early, helicopter flight over Brazilian side of falls. 4 of us went I was lucky enough to get a front seat with Kaye and Christen. Wow it was amazing especially Devils Throat. After flight headed to Parque National Do Iguacu where we walked along the river and had amazing views of the falls.
Walked out on a boardwalk and had a magnificent view of Devils Throat.
We then went to the bird park, held a macaw. We went to a cultural night for tea. Great food and entertainment. Fab and Trav were part of the acts.

28th Feb
Argentinian side of falls and boat ride.

Crossed the border and entered the National Park. We walked around some tracks that led us to the Iguazu River where we boarded a boat and went up and down the rapids. We then went under a waterfall and got absolutely drenched. Lots of fun. Then we headed for the train station so we could go on a 1100 metre hike to the Devils Throat lookout. The boardwalk went over lots of little rivers. We could hear the powerful falls in the distance. Wow Wow Wow. What an amazing site. The power of the water cascading over the cliff was breathtaking. The water mist clouded the view down the fierce rapids. This is one of the best views I have ever seen. We then headed back for lunch with the menacing racoons. One of them looked like he was on a stealth mission. He crept up the leg of the table and swooped on Sebines lunch. It was the funniest thing I have seen. Then when we left the lunch area they were sitting on the handrails trying to snatch food from our backpacks. Headed out of park at 5pm then back to camp. Our team was on cooking duties tonight. BBQ........then an early night.
