What I'd planned to do today, I found out yesterday that we couldn't! D'oh! I'd wanted to go to Winay Wayna, another Inca ruin, but you need to request permission a long time in advance. As a substitute, we were recommended to go to some local waterfalls. We took the 1.5 hour walk along the train tracks & then through the small rainforest to the couple of small waterfalls. They weren't the most impressive waterfalls, but it was a really pleasant walk & we met a nice older English lady at the end who we had a small chat with. I grabbed a coffee on the way back before getting our stuff, having a shockingly good value meal, (20% off for being their gringo recommenders for quality food!) & heading to the train station. Again we had hassle about our tickets (for why we're not sure!), but we got on (last) & took the 3 hour PerPuRail Expedition train to Poroy & then shared a taxi with 2 Italians back to Cusco. After checking back into Pirawana we arranged on FB to meet up with Cal for a McDs & a few beers. Rach headed back after a couple in the world's highest fully Irish owned Irish pub(!) & a few bars, clubs & drinks later I staggered back as well!!
