Decided on a spot of Cusco sight seeing today so headed off to the Cathedral. However when we got to the main plaza it was crowded, as a festival was taking place & cute children of varying ages from different classes from different schools were dressed up in traditional dress, all doing little dance routines with firecrackers through the crowds. Not sure what it was for, but it was very sweet. However it meant the Cathedral was closed! So we went off to Jacks cafe for lunch. Really packed, with amazing food at an excellent price. We were most impressed & it set us up for an afternoon of mooching around museums. Some of the artefacts were in excellent condition especially as they were upto about 2500 years old. The things that fascinated us most were the intricacies of the ancient textiles & the preservation of the mummies (some of which still had some skin & hair!). After that, we grabbed our stuff & headed off to our overnight Cruz Del Sur bus to Nazca.
