I'm still not feeling 100% & a cold seems to have kicked in now as well. But bless her, Rach seems to be trying to join me. Thanks babe! This morning & early afternoon was spent taking it easy & doing Internet/computing bits & pieces before heading out. It was only 10mins walk into this gorgeous town centre that seems a bit misplaced in South America. It has a very European look to it & could quite easily fit in in Italy somewhere. (We later found out the town was built from the ground by the Spanish, hence the European feel!) Multiple restaurants, travel agencies & shops lined the ancient white sillar walled square. (Sillar being white volcanic rock). We grabbed a very tasty salad on a balcony looking out to El Misti (semi-active 5822m volcano) & then decided that with the main Cathedral standing so grand & ornate we just had to have a private tour around it. We were very impressed by not only the building itself, but also by the artefacts & their layout. Following this we crossed the plaza & I just had to stop for a photo shoot of me getting covered by pigeons. One 'Iglesia de La Compania' (ornate church) later & we headed home for a night of (crap) pizza & films.
