Neither of us could get out of bed this morning, but we eventually made it out & back to 'Olivers Travels' for a full English breakfast with a pint(!) of PG Tips! Ah.....a home from home. We ended up spending a few more hours here supping cups of tea, while trying to sort out how to get to Peru. It seems a mass of Peruvian miners & townsfolk have closed the border & port where we wanted to cross. This is due to some disputes around the government wanting to do mining on the shores of Lake Titicaca, which they believe would take away some of it's beauty. So you can't blame them, but it's a bit of a b***** for us! As the airlines have been sods & put the prices up skyhigh as they know that people need to get across, it seems our only option is to bus it to Arica, (back in Chile) & across the border there. It means a day of travelling, but at least it'll get us there. We then went to the 'Star of India' (the world's highest Indian restaurant!) & met up with the boys, Cal, Dean & Hayley & 2 other girls. It seems I'm not so keen on fatty Llama meat which I realised as I tucked into my Llama Tikka Masala! Rach went for a more sensible Lamb Rogan Josh, while Deano went for 'the world's hottest curry' to get a t-shirt if he finished it. I think he managed about a third of it, which when we'd all tried a mouthful, we realised why! A few cheeky ones (that went down very smoothly) in 'Olivers' & home for a very welcome episode of 'House'. (PS. It's just as well Dean didn't eat his curry as we met a guy the next day who didn't move off the toilet all night due to finishing his. However, he did get the t-shirt!)
