Ko Phi Phi was stunning! Just like it was on the film....except...errr...a lot more people, bars, restaurants, shops...... ahh but still....
We had a nice little bungalow on stilts in the Jungle..it was a bit of a walk from the beach (well, 10 mins) but it was the cheapest we could find. It was actually very nice..clean sheets...no creepy crawlies!!
In fact i think thats the 1st place weve been that we havent been bitten during the night!!
Outside our room, literally, the 2nd day we were there, there were about 7/8 monkeys just staring at us!! Dom got the camera out to get a few pics and one of them started heading towards us!! We put the camera away quickly!
We managed to find a spot on the beach where there were only 6 or 7 other people. It was so nice to just lay and read our books and chillout for a couple of days after all of the moving about weve been doing .
The sand was white, the sea was warm and shallow, the sun was shining. It truly was paradise
The beer was very expensive tho but you could buy 'buckets' fairly cheaply (like pitchers, but in sandcastle buckets) or you could go to the seven eleven (yes this little paradise island even had a seven eleven,,,,hmmm) and buy small cans of Chang and then go and sit & enjoy them on the beach
Not much else to really tell...we have to do a 'visa run' (you get a 30 day Visa for free when you enter Thailand and ours is about to run out (Monday), so we have to leave Thailand and reenter to get another free Visa)
So 2 more weeks in Thailand and then we are heading to Vienam, Cambodia and Laos !!! Cant wait for that xxxxxxxxx
