After a frantic start sorrting out boots, goggles etc we all made it SKI SCHOOL on time where Jess me Allie who was to be her instructor for the morning.
She's was so excited about this - and happily went off while we exited in search of our own gear and a few refresher runs up and down Sesame St.
If this is a prelude for 1st day at school in September 2012 then Jess will be fine, though I'm less sure about us.
We spent the day on the back side of the mountain around chairs 11, 12, 13 &14 and had a fantastic time. Clear blue skies, no wind, bright sunshine and deserted slopes. Although its not snowed for about a week, groomed runs make for great skiing.
We collected Jess mid afternoon who was proudly clutching her report/progress card which updated us on what she'd been doing - though we did manage to have a few sneaky looks of her learning to snowplough (pizza) and parallel (french fries) (work it out!).
Happily for all of us she'd had a great time and was looking forward to day 2!
We finished the day witha trip to the top of the mountain (elev 11, 053) in the Panorama Gondola, as it was such a clear days the views were amazing.
