My first Airbnb was fabulous - Peter was a great host and the view from the apartment was amazing. He showed me a fish and chips place - the best I ever had - fresh and grilled, not fried and the chips - to die for!
The first day I had a fabulous 2hr workout in a gym by the beach which made me sane again - I was on my own for the most part and I felt somewhat out of place as the average age in the area was younger and most 'affected', It didn't bother me as the scenery was outstanding and on the last day, I met some great kids from England whom I taught some wine tasting. They appreciated it and I had fun.
I LOVED the Yarra lovely wine tour - ending up in the Australian Chandon house where I bought a 2007 Crue Brut (these bottles are put down for 12 years or longer) I had fun 'rock climbing' on one of the properties. My 'mates' on the trip (Ross, Peter and spouse) were so 'understanding', I had my immature fun. I think I am living out the young adult fantasy I always had about 'travelling the world'. It is much more interesting and fun at an older age because 1. I don't care 2. I am too old for this s*** - but I do it anyways 3. I have met great people (a few are jerks but I am not afraid to call them out!:)) 4. Money is as only as good as the next adventure, don't care about the clothes and other stuff. 5. Freedom of speech needs to be honoured and protected. 6. There are too many people - EVERYWHERE - I like nature and my family/freinds much better!
I miss Africa - warts and all - it is more REAL - is this me???
