Last night Lindsay, Sarah, and I went out to party. We started out with dinner at a restaraunt called The Australian Hotel which had over 100 different kinds of beer and tasty pizza. I actually tried some kangaroo which tasted a lot like moist steak meat. We started out by having a couple of beers and pizza. We had decided that we were not going to get too out of control with the drinking because we had to get up somewhat early for the Harbor Bridge climb thismorning. Of course, after sippin down a few, we strolled over to the Opera Bar right outside the Opera House. This bar was definately one of the busiest we walked past. The view was amazing at night between the bridge and the opera house. There we had a few more drinks and got somewhat more intoxicated than planned. (what ev tho) At about 11 we took a cab back to our hostel's bar. They had cheaper drinks and a more hopping atmosphere. Pretty much all of the music that you hear in Sydney is american music. Who would have thought? We hit the rack not long after midnight. Woke up this morning at about 830 thirsty as ever, so I made the trek to the bathroom at sipped about a gallon of water directly from the sink (thank god this is not mexico!). We took a cab to the bridge climb where we spent about 4 hours. They got us all suited up and harnesed in. The climb itself took a couple of hours, because we made several stops with the tour guide, Max, to enjoy the view. It sure does take a lot of steps to get to the top, but the view is priceless. It cost about 130 buck, but well worth it. We had thought about heading over to Bondi Beach, but the bus schedule was not in our favor and neither was the weather :( We haven't had one sunny day yet. I thought it was always sunny in Sydney! Tomorrow it is supposed to rain too, but we are still going to head to the zoo, and maybe even Bondi Beach. I guess there's other stuff to do besides sit on the beach. On the way back from the harbor bridge we walked down George street which has a bunch of shops and what not. The girls wanted to stop in a couple of shops, and I tolerated it. I actually waited outside and people watched on the sidewalk while they tried on clothes. I felt kind of like a bum sitting there with my backpack waiting. I got a lot of looks, but it is too be expected when Americans stand out like a sore thumb. A bum actually approached me and asked for some change to buy a sandwich. I felt bad for the poor guy and gave him some change. Nothing feels better than a little altruism. Tonight we are going to hit up the Scuba Bar, our Hostel's, then head to the Sydney tower for a buffet dinner. Then pry the bars again cuz why not. There's a stop light party at the scuba bar tonight so BRING IT ON! Ill keep everybody posted, no worries.
