Hey everyone,

latest news... drum roll - i am coming home early, in one week to be exact on the 2nd of september. after much deliberation, i dcided to change my flights cos i am worries about my uni work, and it seemed the right thing to do. plus i didnt want the hassle of extending my visa again, and paying a s***load of money just for ten more days.

have had such an amazing trip - especially when mum and liz came over. we all really enjoyed siem reap and the temples of angkor - and i am in love with a buddhist monk that i met on the steps of angkor wat. he was a very curious monk - asking me questions about australian culture - like do boys and girls sleep together before marriage, and what do i see in a guy and how can u tell a gentleman from a playboy! he was so lovely to talk to - if very unusual. i wanted to ask for his email, but figured that would be going too far outside the rules of the monkhood - and i think i would get bad karma. i do have a photo of us together - so will just have to remember him. ;(

it was awseome showing mum and liz cambodia - and being the responsible one in charge - and showing off with the little khmer i know. the first few days in cambodia - mum was in culture shock and barely talked - but i think she really anjoyed herself. we did lots of touristy stuff - like went to the cafe in siem reap that angelina jolie used to go to, and we saw the temples and brought tacky souvenirs, but i was mostly so excited that mum and liz could meet teh firends i have made here - cos they are the things i will remmerb forever. meeting people from such a different culture and interactin with them and sharing experiences is the best bit of travelling i think.
