A frantic two weeks has now ended tried as usual to cram in too much into too little time. Now just a 150 mile ride to the Plymouth to Santander Ferry and my mini cruise. Looking forward to that very much, will take my time using some of the lessons I learnt from my friend Steve on my last bike trip in 2010 to Morocco. Need to lighten the load some more in the morning!
Dumped some more clothes and a thermal and made some space.
Fuelled up on shell ultimate the bike likes the extra octane and burbles like a race bike on deceleration...
Pretty fast run to Plymouth as roads were clear. Hopped on the back of two sports bikes who were also going to the Ferry. Arriving at the Ferryport early I went through. Hundreds of bikes going to a bike festival in Portugal, lots of hairy bikers on choppers and harleys, not that friendly. Irish guy on a guzzi liked my bike and said it was his next. So was on the boat in my cabin and showered over an hour before sailing. Blue skies and warm hopefully an omen for my trip which has been pretty wet so far...
