Leaving Biert and good friends was never going to be easy, however we came this way to travel and ride.
During the day I helped James fix his solar hot water system. Time for a long nano nap as it was very hot today. The woofing hut was very hot awoke in a sweat needing water.
As it was my last night I cooked dinner and my now signature dish “glazed fruit tart…”. My sweet pastry was very short however I worked my magic to recover it from a bin job.
Becs was totally exhausted after three weeks hosting English language students. But she said it’s good money.
I also fed the chickens and collected the fresh eggs. In a very small way I was living their dream for a few short days.
Bon Voyage, to my great friends James and Rebecca while your life is tough in some respects on top of the mountain in the Pyrenees the clean air, views to die for and no neighbours provides a quality and depth of life experience few will ever experience.
Being awoken by the local owl or the light coming over the mountain pass into the woofing hut with the distant sound of a cockerel crowing is much preferred to sirens and traffic noise.
My time in the Pyrenees with great friends has been absolutely inspiring and relaxing. However new horizons countries, experiences and vistas are calling me. I came here to ride and ride I must.
