The border crossing into Chile was quick and painless as we arrived into the small town of San Pedro De Atacama, in a lovely setting but ridiculously expensive. We decided to spend a night in San Pedro before braving the 23 hour bus down to Santiago. In the morning we hired bicycles and enjoyed a 4 hour cycle through the desert and some small villages nearby with some new friends before nervously setting off on the bus.
