Today is Dad's day doing the blog.

We heard a lot about "The Strand" from guide books and locals so we thought today we would chill out a bit, do some walking and swimming.

The Strand is a decent walk and we loved it, except for our oldest who is not so keen on long walks. There is heaps to do, a small water park, coffee shops and a large rock pool. The rock pool is the best one I have seen, it is more like a man made lagoon. We spent a fair bit of time just swimming and soaking in the views across to Magnetic Island.

For our youngest, he loved the walk if only to catch Pokemon and hatch his Pokemon eggs.

It was not long before we were back in the caravan park and in the pool. The boys have made some friends and had a ball playing tip. I joined in and yes all the other parents were judging me, this 40 something guy playing tip with the kids. It was not long before I slipped and landed on the ground … good thing that the only thing damaged was my dignity!

Tonight we played Star Wars Family Feud … yes we are Star Wars tragics. Great game and lots of controversy! Isabelle and Olivier went down to Philippe and Loic … and Olivier submitted lots of protests!

Now for Transformers Revenge of the Fallen while Isabelle and I plan the next few days. Tomorrow we head to Mission Beach.
