Tony M. Polly, As you may know we moved to Dorset in August so we had a bit more warmer weather in our old age. Visited Buxton last week and met up with your mum and Les. They were telling us of you exploits and your Blog, so looked it up and enjoyed reading your log and messages. Looks like you've had a great time you are very lucky. Mummy It's great to see your confidence growing Polly. It's very easy to be taken in by the people that you meet. They are all just trying to make a living out of the tourists. You have to try to think like a local, pretend that you are back in Kharikola where you know the price of things, then add a bit because you have more money than the average Nepali, this will give you an approximate idea of the right price, then enjoy the bargaining. Don't be afraid to walk away. If someone asks for money for momos take them to a cafe and buy momos, if they won't go with you they are not genuinely hungry. Mummy Hi Pol, It's great to be in touch again. It sounds as if Sujan is looking after you. Did you get to go into a Hindu temple? We weren't allowed to go in. Les thinks that you must have taught the monks some rubbish english!! We have arranged for an English course for YOU upon your return. We know that you can spout some rubbish when excitedly telling stories but some of your blog makes our brains ache trying to dechiper what your telling us. Still it's great that you are so excited by everything. You will find that everytime you see Kharikola written down it will be spelt differently. That's Nepal for you. We had the first snow in England yesterday. The Lakes and Scotland had the most, but the Cat and Fiddle had a couple of inches. Hurry back! I need my down jacket.
