sniff, sniff..... man, i'm really going to miss all the great times with you on your journey. But what a bitter sweet kind of message at the end. I feel like I know you a little better especailly since my mind stayed on the little guy in Karate with the adorable blonde bowl cut hair style, who could recite the grizzly adams intro.word for word and make us laugh with pleasure each time and The awesome actor who lite up the stage here in T town. Need I say more..... what ever you set your mind to, you seem to do with greatness, and manage to make others smile in the offering. Kudos to you !!! Andi

I'm Smiling at the picture you took of luxembourg city...Max and I would laugh at the crane's in each city....we had a joke about it being a city who's size was determined by the number of crane's we saw as we would pass by. From the picture alone i'd have to say it's a three crane city. LOL Live Big, Laugh often, and ride carefully.

I'd say...hafta agree with missy, we won't know what to do without the journal and pictures. You may have to cronicle your time in school, after all that would be an adventure for your family members. Max's mom said it went from hot to turning on the heat over there, so I hope you get beautiful weather for the tail end of your trip, and a smooth flight home. Andi
Missy
Cuzzin,
Enjoy the end of your trip and trave home safely.
What is next? I have kind of gotten used to having a good story to read on a fairly regular basis, not to mention cool pictures to look at as well. So I am pulling for some kind of continuation of this whole online journal deal.
Everyone loves a good read, especially when there are purty pitchers too!
Take Care!

Hey Nathan, you've had quite the trip! Have a good time in Amsterdam--my brother had a blast there a few years ago (most likely because of the coffeeshops) but it's a place I've always wanted to go. There may even be relatives (distant ones, obviously) living there--my grandparents were so excited to see the Nieuwenhuis name in the phone book there that they committed their first and only act of vandaism and stole the page from the phone book.
Enjoy the last moments of your trip and definitely hit the Anne Frank museum. Unfortunately Jim and I will be heading off to Syracuse before you get back, but I'm sure we'll see each other in the future!
Jeff
Hey, cuz. Sounds like an amazing trip is winding up. Have fun in Amsterdam. We stayed in the red light district while we were there and felt pretty safe doing so. Not sure how bike friendly it is there though, but it is a completely different experience. The hostel was right next to a police station and two doors down from a coffeeshop that sold pot. But then, in the red light district, every place is about two doors away from a coffeeshop that sells pot.
The Anne Frank house is definitely worth a visit. It's actually a lot bigger than I thought it would be, but the museum afterwards tore me up. Panels describing what was happening in the concentration camps alongside panels with entries from the diary.

hi nathan , read your entry aug 1st , glad it cooled down a bit. I guess that was quite a site to see the wind blowing stuff around.
dont want to influence your decision to leave early , but if your apartment is not ready and you do want to return you could stay here and then fly home when the apt. is ready. we will help you with your ticket. just a plan to consider as an option. we will look forward to those pictures........love mom & chuck

Whatever you decide to do, you rock. I'd like at least one entry detailing time in a German discotheque before you go, though.
