Adventures of a Global Wanderer
The last stop as the sun was beginning to set was to a waterfall on the north side of the island. Even though I had a motorbike and was doing upto 70km/hr now it was still taking half an hour to get to each place on the island even with clear roads.
The waterfall was nice and in three stages so not one giant long one. I was thirsty but they were charging double prices for ice creams here.
I then cut south across the island to get me back to the hotel pulling over a few times to check my map. I scouted the route to the ferry for tomorrow morning.
I tried asking in the hotel if it was possible for me to use the bike in the morning to get the 730am ferry as I had rented the bike for 24 hours. As expected I couldnt as there was nobody that early to return the bike to.
Even though I was sitting on a bike all day I was exhausted and couldnt stand up when I got back to the hotel. Also the helmet was giving me a headache being too small and crushing my head.
When I regained my strength I went back to the Indian restaurant and had a big meal of tandoori fish, chicken curry, fish curry, rice, and drink for 15Rm ($5).
Back in the hotel I couldnt get into the shower as the other guests were using it as an overflow bathroom again even though they have their own private bathrooms in their rooms. Eventually I did get in.
Also the kids continued running laps down the length of the hallway. Earlier when the family had pulled in with their minivan it was like watching the guinness world record of how many people they could fit in a van when child upon child kept emerging carrying yet more children.
As the guests were Pakistani like the owner I was debating saying something in Urdu that the bathroom is only for use for the rooms that dont have their own bathrooms and could they keep their kids quiet while people are trying to sleep. Fortunately they moved the kids out of the hallway and I was able to sleep for my early departure the next day.
