Adventures of a Global Wanderer
Next stop was to the Cuevas del Indio. Nearby is another cave that has a niteclub and cabaret on Saturdays nights. Outside the caves were some fake indians doing dances and tricks with animals.
I was worried about going into the caves remembering my experience in Mexico last year where it was not lit, you were climbing with ropes and crawling, and basically was not safe. This cave was well lit, paved, and very safe.
After a short walk thru the caves we came to a river and waiting boats. This was different from other caves I'd been in which were dry except for dripping water.
We then went on a speedboat for a water tour of the rest of the caves. Here is a youtube video

Coming out were lots of souvenir shops and cigars after having visited the cigar farm and not seeing cigars sold thus far.
For lunch I had giant sized chicken legs for $8P which seemed more like turkey legs.
Next stop back in town was to the Botanical Gardens. This might not be interesting except for the bizarre antics of the guardians. Two older ladies who ran the gardens thought it would be a nice idea to place decapitated dolls heads around the gardens as ornaments.
It became a treasure hunt trying to find all the hidden heads throughout the gardens.
After making our way back to the handcrafts market where I got cigar cases for my earlier cigars from the tobacco farm we had freetime. I was going to find the bike rental place for the rest of the afternoon.
