Driving from Grand Canyon to the north, we were expected near Fredonia to meet our host for the Couchsurfing accomomdation of that night. We had to leave the Canyon at 2pm, since it is a three hour drive to Utah and the Monument Valley and the sun sets at 6.15pm. First some sandwiches at the old watch tower at the canyon and then on to Utah.
