Bus 1819 drives me from Taoyuan Airport to Taipei. The hotel that the tourist office sent me too is very simple, very budget and the worst room I have ever had I think. But I am not complaining, it is cheap and it serves the purpose of a place where I can leave my backpack and where I can sleep at night. The Lion City hotel will never make it into my long term memory though.. I shower and walk into town. I feel very foreign, very out of place and quite lost here...

Made it to Taiwan! After a long 14 hour flight, crosising the international date line and being hit with jetlag number two, I am here. Arrival at the airport was a complete mystery but a smooth entrance. Its right away very clear, we are not in the US anymore or the western world. Wake up at 03:30, shower and out of the door.. The doorman of the hotel says goodbye and hands me a bottle of water for on the way. Great service, great staff. I walk towards the Ferry building, which is about half an hour away. On the way there I buy coffee and some sandwiches for the trip. It going to be strange leaving this continent and country soon. When i fly out of LA on tuesdaynight, i will have spent 29 days here, was in Canada in 2 provences and the US in 13 states. All i can say is; thanks for having me over North America, I will be back again. But for now i dont have to drink beer from a brown bag anymore!
