Darwin is a great place to spend a few days. The centre of town is totally dominated by tavellers as the locals quite sensibly live out of town. As all the hostels are located in close proximity there is quite a party atmosphere in town which we all took advantage of on more than one occasion.

But we didn't just party, oh no, we also saw some of Darwin. I went on a walking tour with Evelyn, a group of us went to Lake Alexander for the day - a large lake set in park grounds where you can sunbathe and swim without the threat of being attacked by wildlife, we all visited the new man made beach in town and went to the outdoor wave pool. It was such good fun and I even learned (just about) how to stay balanced on a body board. Evelyn and I both went for a Thai massage which has got to be the most painful one I have ever had!

The other big event that happened in Darwin was that David and I parted company. David flew out to Cairns to start his East coast adventure whilst I'm going to travel through the red centre. Hope you have a great time D and I'll see you soon!
