Time for an update! It feels like we were in Puerto Montt ages ago, but really it has only been a week! We travelled around the area of Puerto Montt to explore Chiloé, and Puerto Varas. Puerto Montt is a port town, basically you arrive there to be able to see the lake region, the islands and then head further south. Cruise ships dock and tourists get on buses for day trips. We have spent our last four days exploring Puerto Montt, Chiloé, and Puerto Varas - pictures to come...WiFi is spotty. Bottom line is this area is breathtaking. Today we board a freighter, that has a side business of ferrying people further south in Chile. It’s a 4day/3night adventure that will take us through the fjords and give us a different perspective of the landscape of Patagonia. We will disconnect and enjoy the sailing - happy weekend to everyone!
