Our first week is coming to an end...as we head to Bogota tomorrow morning. The week here was "mucho calor" (good heat). The average temp in Cartagena is 28 degrees with 90% humidity. Our days were filled with walking through the old town, a hop on hop off bus tour allowing us two days to roam the city, a local beach at Bocogrande, and a boat tour taking us to Isla del Pirata (one of the Rosario islands). We managed to touch down on 3 continents yesterday, with the final one being South America. Interestingly enough the Canadian gov't requests an entry fee from Colombians...there was a reciprocity fee as we entered last night. First day in Cartagena was a day to get groceries, get acquainted with the town and the heat! 46 degrees...quite the shift. We ended the day on a patio at the marina...no worries...the mojitos are "Deb Approved!"
