Full day today, taking in the sights still on our list!! This morning we went on an Architectural cruise which was really interesting. The skyline is very unique and the guide had lots of quite fascinating info to share!! Then this afternoon we wandered around at Navy Pier and then jumped on the Hop on Hop off bus for another loop. Then we made our way to the Art Institute of Chicago, because clearly we haven't seen enough museums and art galleries over the past couple of months!!! Despite that, we still managed to enjoy our time and spent a few hours there and had to ask multiple people directions to get out!!! It's a multi-level maze!!! Far too challenging for us!! We found our way to a restaurant/pub on the way back to the hotel, called the Exchequer. Everything here seems to need a claim to fame - the tallest, the biggest, the oldest etc. Well The Exchequer's claim to fame is that it used to be a haunt of Al Capone, who only lived a few streets away!! They had lots of memorabilia all over the place with lots of photos of famous people dining there. Clearly we didn't fit in, but ate there anyway!! We've enjoyed our time here enormously and love the Chicago atmosphere! Well, tomorrow we're off to Minneapolis and then River Falls to Shannon's place for a few days!! I'm excited about meeting Shannon and catching up on 43 years of stories, since we've been writing. We expect Friday this week will be somewhat less surprising than Friday last week! Let's hope!!! All great!!!! Xxx
