Sun's up!!! :-)

Drove down the coast road this morning to Santa Monica, but were too late to see 'when the sun comes up on the Santa Monica Boulevard'. Stopped for a quick look at Dukes at Malibu, but sadly, didn't have time to stop for brunch. (Yes I got to drive to Malibu - hooray'!!!) Dropped our gear at the hotel, which is great! Had a great day driving down Highway 1, and onto Ventura. I s'pose it's a bit like The Great Ocean Road in parts, windy, on the edge of cliffs and a bit hairy. Anyway, it was quite beautiful and Bwian loved getting behind the wheel of another little red car! If I'm lucky, I may get a little turn this morning!! We are less than an hour away from LA, because we wanted a short drive today, so we could have a look around Malibu etc along the way. Had hoped to stop...

On our way ... 'Rollin down the highway'!!! Did the beautiful 17 mile drive around Pebble Beach to Carmel and then made it without incident here to Cayucos for a light lunch and break. 'Without incident' is good cos there was a bike race on from Monterey, and there were bikes all the way along, which made it very dangerous on the skinny, windy cliff top roads!! Lid down, beautiful day and all is well with the world. Still a few hours away from Ventura! Xx
