Deb's Adventures
It rained pretty much all day on Thursday but we did not let it slow us down. We had a bit of a lazy morning and at noon we headed down the road to the Dolphin Discovery Center. I have always wanted to swim with the dolphins and it did not disappoint. We hopped in to a pool with our guide Julio and two Dolphins Olympia and Rachel. It was awesome. We pet them and held them and played with them. We did a fin pull and a foot push. In spite of the cold and rain we all had a great time.
Two other couples from Ryan and Clarice's circle of friends showed up this afternoon to spend a long weekend with us. We all decided to go to the theater this evening for dinner and a show. The food was good and the show was delightfully cheesy.
After the show we went to the rooftop bar for dancing and shena****ns. We found out that it was one of the bartenders birthdays so we got rowdy and insisted that Diego party with us. At one point Ryan was actually behind the bar mixing drinks. We all had tequila poppers and flaming shots. I am amazed we all remained upright. A good time was had by all.
Friday and Saturday were dedicated to relaxing beachside and poolside. We dodged short rainstorms, took naps in our lounge chairs, read a lot, watched all the crazy tourists and sipped tropical drinks. It was an amazing way to spend a couple of days. We are feeling really relaxed.
On Friday evening after dinner we went back to the theater and enjoyed a magic show. Again it was delightfully cheesy but they actually performed some pretty good tricks. Afterwards they had live music at the rooftop bar. It was a Mexican boy band. We were much more subdued this night and had a glass of wine and went to bed at a reasonable hour.
